The Department of Atomic Physics is responsible for teaching the courses of
- Atomic Physics and Interaction of Radiation with Matter
- Nuclear and Particle Physics
at Bachelor level as well as for the Laboratory sessions to these courses. This is part of the General Physics Curriculum for all students in the Faculty of Physics.
The Department offers special courses at Bachelor and Master levels in the fields of: Particle Physics, Experimental Nuclear Physics, Nuclear Structure and Spectroscopy, Dosimetry, Radiation Protection and Radioecology, Monte Carlo Methods in Model Systems, Nuclear Electronics, Moessbauer Spectroscopy, Biophysics and Medical Physics.
The Department leads teaching in the Master Programme of Nuclear and Particle Physics and contributes significantly to the Master Programme of Medical Physics and others.
